Justice with Integrity. Qualified Leadership.
Molly Groesbeck Solis is unopposed on the November 5, 2024 general election having won the Republican Primary Runoff Election held May 28th, 2024 with 70% of the vote. Please vote November 5th because your Vote is your Voice. Thank you to all who voted, supported, volunteered, contributed to the campaign and helped make this important change for our community possible. I look forward to serving Atascosa County starting January 1, 2025.
The County Attorney’s Office requires an experienced qualified attorney to serve as the chief legal advisor for the County, more specifically the Commissioner’s Court, Elected Officials, and to defend civil lawsuits against the County and County Officials. In order to successfully perform the duties of the County Attorney position, the attorney should be experienced in government law, civil litigation, employment law, and land use regulations. In addition, the County Attorney should also be experienced in criminal law and prosecution of penal code violations, criminal trials, juvenile law, transportation code, parks and wildlife code, and education code for truancy violations. This vast amount of experience is necessary in order to effectively serve as prosecutor for the state in criminal cases and work with 15 law enforcement agencies in the investigation and prosecution of all cases filed in the Justice of the Peace Courts, the Juvenile Court, and the County Court at law.
I have 15 years of experience in Criminal Law, Prosecution and Trials, Government Law, Employment Law, Civil Litigation, and have served as the chief legal advisor for many government entities. I have successfully prosecuted thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases, including penal code violations, transportation code, parks and wildlife code, and juvenile justice code violations. I have provided training to local law enforcement officers. I am an experienced truancy prosecutor and have provided education code training to school officials.
I am proud to be a public servant and use my law degree and experience to serve counties, cities, school districts, and my community. I have worked my entire legal career serving the legal needs of government entities in the Atascosa, Bexar, Frio, Karnes, and Wilson County areas. I previously served as your Assistant Atascosa County Attorney and Assistant District Attorney for the 81st Judicial District serving in Atascosa County.
I also contribute to making our community better by volunteering with local non-profit clubs and organizations. I believe in giving back by helping those who give to others. I am a proud member and past president of the Poteet Lions Club, a member of the Board of Directors for the Poteet Strawberry Festival Association, a past board member for the Atascosa County Law Enforcement Officers Association, and a past board member for the Children’s Alliance of South Texas, a Child Advocacy Center.
Why I am running
I love our County and promise to work each day to help make Atascosa County a better and a safer place to live and raise our families. I believe in the responsible growth of our County. I believe in our criminal justice system and want to ensure that justice is served in Atascosa County. I have always and will always faithfully execute my duty as a prosecutor with integrity to see that justice is done, not only for crime victims, but also for the safety and well-being of ALL citizens of Atascosa County. I have ALL the qualifications and experience necessary to successfully serve as your County Attorney.
